Manifesto
We got old.
We did not get boring.
The Not Dead Yet Society is a standing appointment for anyone who has decided that “acting your age” is a suggestion, not a rule. We meet, we make noise, we compare notes on grandchildren and hip replacements in the same sentence. Membership requires nothing but nerve and a decent pair of walking shoes.
The Bylaws
Eligibility requires having outlived at least one doctor’s prediction, one fad diet, or one truly regrettable haircut.
Minimum age is whatever lets you remember rotary phones. Lying about it is permitted and, frankly, encouraged.
Attendance at meetings is optional. Enthusiasm for the cake table is not.
No story may begin with “back in my day” unless it ends with a joke at your own expense.
Every member agrees to try one new thing per month — ideally something the grandchildren would find deeply embarrassing.
Member Benefits
Coffee, cards, and complaining — on a schedule loose enough to forget and forgive.
Outings chosen for scenery, snacks, and a reasonable number of bathrooms.
An occasional newsletter, proof of life, and an excuse to gossip in writing.
Annual, unserious, and handed out for reasons that make sense only to us.
In Remembrance
Some members leave the room but never really leave the club. This is where we keep their names close.
(Placeholder names above — swap in the real ones whenever you're ready.)
Say hello and we'll tell you when and where the next gathering is.
